FencingSA Membership Waiver

RESPONSIBILITIES OF FENCERS

By completing the affiliation process, you are confirming that you have read and understood the following FIE rule, which applies to all levels of training and competitions which come under the auspices of Affiliated Clubs and Associations of the Australian Fencing Federation Inc (AFF) and the Federation itself.

FIE RULE t.15 Responsibility of fencers: "Fencers arm, equip and clothe themselves and fence at their own responsibility and at their own risk. The safety measures specified in the Rules and in the standards contained in the appendix to them and the methods of control laid down in the present Rules (cf. Material Rules) are only designed to increase the fencers safety and cannot guarantee it. They cannot, therefore, whatever the manner in which they are applied, impart responsibility to the FIE, or to the organizers of competitions, to the officials or personnel who carry out such organization, or to those who may cause an injury."

In applying for or renewing membership of FSA, members acknowledge that images (still or moving) taken of them at any fencing event (for example but not limited to; competitions, squad training and camps) may be used by FSA for the purpose of promoting fencing via its website, social media sites, newsletters, other publications and onsite images at competition venues.

Any member (the parent or guardian in the case of a minor) who does not wish any image of them to be used for the purpose described above should inform secretary@fencingsa.org.au

I agree to allow FSA to send me emails relating to this membership.

Any health issues will be advised to FSA either prior to the event or on the day of the event. FSA reserves the right to refuse entry based on medical grounds. FSA reserves the right to request attendance of an ambulance. I am aware that any costs related to this are my responsibility.

By agreeing to this waiver, I confirm that I have read and understood the Codes of Conduct which apply to all athletes, coaches, officials and spectators at all Fencing events. Copies of the Codes of Conduct are available on the FSA Website: http://fencingsa.org.au/Policies
